Amazing place to take your kids. Everything is clean and the tables have paper covers so you know you're not eating off a table that has been wiped with a dirty rag. Amazing place if you are a seafood lover, not many options available that are not seafood, but the seafood that is available is delicious!!! Not too bad on the pocket and their seafood bread is delicious. The staff are also very polite and got everything done in a quick and timely manner.
Our server, Bentley, was wonderful! He was very helpful and funny. Though, it seems that all of the servers are very nice, as the brunette male server at the table next to us sounded equally personable. If Bentley is working next time I come, I may have to ask for him!
As for the food, it was all delicious and very filling! You definitely won't leave hungry! They even give you a special takeout bag so you can heat up your food properly in the bag with hot water instead of putting it in the microwave.
Great experience, great atmosphere, great servers. All around, highly recommend. Great for family too! :)
The best seafood restaurant in Erie area. The oyster is large and very fresh, also recommend crawfish, the flavor is much better than Louisiana style. Compare to the quality of food, the price is reasonable, and waitress are friendly.
Great but can be better…
Service 5/5: Service was great. Sorry forgot the gentleman’s name. But he was very attentive and helpful. Drinks were refilled regularly and he was always checking up on us.
Food 3.5/5: Ordered a combo with Snow Crabs, Lobster, Shrimps, w/sausage,corn, potatoes for around $80.00. Also ordered cajun fried rice to go with it. Serving for the price was great, flavour was a bit under expectations. Been to alot of seafood boil restaurants but this one is missing something i cant explain could use more butter in my opinion. Cajun fried rice was definitely not what i was expecting, it was more like plain fried rice that you can order from Panda Express or something. Definitely needed more cajun seasoning.
Restaurant 4/5: Great atmosphere, very bright and it has that seafood restaurant vibes.
Overall 3.5/5: Would recommend to others of you have the seafood itch.
The best thing happened while visiting Pennsylvania. Good food, good service, excellent staff, and atmosphere. I'm definitely going back tomorrow before heading back Toronto. Try their fresh oysters, a must have while drinking some ice cold beer.
I have never written a review of anything. My wife and I were returning home after Christmas, and I was looking forward to dinner in Erie at Texas Roadhouse. The wait was going to be 1-1/2 hours, but she noticed the Storming Crab. Since we had lived in Louisiana for six years, this looked good.
It was better than good - it was really great! The crawfish boil was delicious, as were the snow crab legs, seafood gumbo, and shrimp cocktail. Everything was as authentic as anything we ever had while living in Cajun Country. The service was great, and the selection of draft beers was perfect (especially after driving 660 miles).
Anytime we are going through Erie, PA, we will be stopping in at the Storming Crab!!
I got the catfish and it wasn't great. It was kind of mushy and tasted just ok. My kids got the crab leg boil and they liked it. My other son got the gator bites and they were good. It's pretty expensive.
What an amazing place to eat, our new favorite! The staff was very knowledgeable, quick, and friendly. The food came very quickly and was a very generous proportion. The flavor was amazing I think it was old bay butter garlic. Combo #7 highly recommend! Looking around at all of the signatures was neat and helped passed the time and we even signed the rafter before we left. Can't wait til we come visit again!
